> Travel with Us

Fields of Dreams Uganda takes teams of volunteers to Uganda five to six times each year. These service trips offer volunteers an opportunity to assist our local Ugandan staff carry out the mission of our work.

Your presence in Uganda brings hope to the more than 5,500 children at our partner schools.

These 10-17 day trips are highly structured and safe programs led by skilled and experienced U.S. and Ugandan staff. Teams typically consist of five to fifteen members from a wide variety of backgrounds. Volunteers get the opportunity to interact with our children in many ways: most trips include a soccer tournament and/or music, dance and drama festival. Most importantly, volunteers get the opportunity to observe, learn and simply be present for the children.

Our volunteers bring with them various skill sets and have ranged from 12 to 82 years of age. We ask that anyone from 12 to 18 years of age must travel with a family member or close family friend.

Private Trips = Please reach out to us if you are interested in creating a private trip for your family, business or group. We have a long history of hosting volunteers in Uganda and can promise you an incredible experience with trustworthy lodging and transportation. Email our Executive Director, Mike Warneke, for more information.

All volunteers are carefully considered to serve on our trips, and every member of our future teams is subject to a background check to ensure that the safety of the children we serve is not compromised. Although many volunteers who serve with Fields of Dreams Uganda serve as a response to their given faith, no church planting or proselytizing takes place during our service trips. All volunteers are required to attend all pre-trip meetings to fully prepare them for the experience ahead.
